Lisa McQueen August 18 & 19Ensemble Member / Musical Director at Annoyance Theater for 25 years, Lisa has composed music for Tippi: Portrait of a Virgin, President Bush is a Great Man, The Invention Show, 40 Whacks, Swear Jar and most recently, The Dead Boy Scout Musical, among others. Second City Musical Director credits include three years with The Second City National Touring Company and revues in Atlanta (Alliance Theater), Denver (Denver Center for the Performing Arts), Rochester (GEVA Theater), Barbados (Holder's Festival) and Amsterdam (Boom Chicago). Regional credits include Piano Conductor for Chicago Shakespeare Theatre’s How Can You Run with a Shell on Your Back?, Hamlet! The Musical and People vs. Friar Tuck, Romeo & Juliet, the Musical; Victory Gardens and Off-Broadway productions of Wild Men! (both starring George Wendt), Metropolis Performing Arts Center's Rod Blagojevich: Superstar! and Improv Olympic's Christmas Smackdown. She can currently be seen in Fast, Loud & Funny and Improv All-Stars at Second City’s UP Comedy Theater.
Lisa has taught music improv workshops at Annoyance theater and for the Improv Festival in Bucharest, Romania. She is keyboardist for the Jeannie Tanner Jazz Quartet and The Rolling Clones, a band dedicated to the music of the Rolling Stones, the greatest rock band in all of history. |
Stacey Smith August 25 & 26Stacey is a loud Long Islander who can be seen performing regularly at CSz, at iO with The Musical Armando and The Deltones, in various projects with The Second City (most recently Life Hacks, The Really Awesome Improv Show and #DateMe in the UP Comedy Club) or with her various independent teams (Stacked, Brouhahaha and Smith&I) around town and/or at festivals. She is an instructor in the A-E Program, Youth&Teen Program and The Wellness Program at The Second City and recently created her own program called S.H.E (Sisterhood. Humor. Empowerment) for female identifying students ages 8-18. In addition, she also teaches and iO and The Playground Theater and recently got hired as Head of the Training Center at CSz Theater Chicago. She is also the Creator/Executive Producer of the Chicago Musical Improv Festival. Recently, Stacey performed two contracts for The Second City aboard the Norwegian Breakaway.

Siama Matuzungidi and Dallas Johnson August 20 & 27Congolese guitarman Siama (“see-AHmah”) earned the title, “soukous legend” by recording his intricate signature style guitar work on hundreds of radio hits and he’s performed on four continents with many major soukous artists. Since launching his US solo career in 2014, Siama’s received a McKnight Fellowship and numerous grants. His spontaneity, spirited vocals and a knack for writing catchy songs in Kikongo, Swahili and Lingala make his music a delight. His new album, “RIVERS – from the Congo to the Mississippi” is getting rave reviews the world-over and he’s performed at many premier venues and events.
Dallas Johnson, a singer, songwriter, producer and band leader- loves exploring musical styles. She composed jazz songs for Jevetta Steele’s last record, recorded an original house single for OM records, an electronic jazz song for Keston and Westdal, performed an American Traditional song on a compilation CD in support of marriage equality, wrote a lullabye that’s being recorded by grade school children in Colarado and can be heard singing soul music on Dan Barreiro’s KFAN show. She’s the community arts director behind Bridging Minneapolis – a project in Phillips West. |
